Terms of use
Last updated:
These terms apply when you visit ninelivesmarket.fun or play Nine Lives Market at play.ninelivesmarket.fun or on our itch.io page. By playing you accept them. Short version: you must be 16 or older, play fair, pick a decent nickname, and know that this is a free beta that can change or reset. What we do with your data is on the Privacy page.
Who we are
Nine Lives Market is a browser game made by the Nine Lives Market team (“we”). The game is free to play during the beta.
Who can play
You must be 16 or older. If you are younger, please do not play or give us your email.
A free beta, as it is
- The game is in beta. It can change, reset, go offline or be shut down, with or without notice.
- We give no promise that it is always available, free of bugs, or that your guest identity, nickname or progress will be kept.
- There are no payments in the game today. If we add any, separate terms will apply to them.
Your guest identity and nickname
- There are no accounts. The game remembers you with a guest key stored in your browser. Anyone who has that key can play as you, and we cannot restore it if you lose it.
- Your nickname is shown to the other players in your room. Do not use a name that impersonates someone, is hateful, sexual or abusive, or contains personal data or advertising.
- We may reject, change or remove a nickname that breaks these rules.
Fair play
Do not:
- cheat, or use bots, scripts or a changed game client;
- exploit a bug to gain an advantage. Report it to us instead;
- overload, attack or probe our servers, or try to read other players' data;
- harass other players.
If you find a security problem, please report it through the contact in our security.txt rather than using it.
Our content
We keep all rights we have in the game, its art, sound, text, code and names. Some parts, such as fonts and music, come from others and stay under their own licences (see the third-party notices). You may play the game and share screenshots and videos of it. For any other use of what is ours, ask us first.
If you break the rules
We may warn you, limit your access, or remove your guest identity, with notice or, for serious or repeated breaches, without it.
Liability
The game is provided free and “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for losses caused by the game being unavailable or changed. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, or your mandatory rights as a consumer where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new version. We may announce important changes on the website.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. Disputes go to the competent courts of Ukraine, without taking away any consumer protection that applies to you by law where you live.
Questions about these terms: use the Contact link at the bottom of any page on ninelivesmarket.fun. Requests about your personal data are described on the Privacy page.
